The art of the handmade: between Italian tradition and creative passion
Welcome to my world! My name is Amélie and I am a student in painting restoration in Florence, at the prestigious Palazzo Spinelli (specializing in wood and canvas supports). Alongside my studies, I am developing my activity as an independent artist, an exciting adventure that helps me fund my education.
My artistic background was forged at the Prépa Itecom in Nice (art and digital) and then at the Milan Academy, where I trained in academic drawing and painting. This dual sensibility between ancient expertise and contemporary creation fuels my work every day.
Ancestral techniques at the service of plants
Curious and a lover of nature, I enjoy exploring materials:
- Imprints & natural materials: I use real tree leaves as mediums for painting or to shape and imprint my clay pieces.
- Traditional expertise: I have mastered gold leaf gilding, egg tempera, and oil painting.
- Handcrafted watercolors: I make my own watercolor paints from purified pigments to ensure optimal quality and luminosity.
My inspirations & creations
My work revolves around the majestic landscapes of Corsica, classical figures, wildlife (especially birds), as well as Japanese pop culture and animation worlds.
From my original artworks, I offer a range of handmade artisanal objects—keychains, stationery, sewing, embroidery, and textile customizations—that I have the pleasure of sharing with you here and at craft markets!
